I'm planning on travelling Australia next summer (not so much travelling, but going to one place, working, then moving onto another place..) Could you suggest me a good place to start? :-) I will be constantly checking your facebook/tumblr/twitter whilst I'm out there for shows! Hope you're still enjoying the tour :-)
it really depends what you want to experience.. fremantle is one of my favourite places for the beach, cafes, sun etc but it’s so far away from the east. hobart is a lovely place and you can see lots of beautiful tasmania from hobart. sydney is cool too, lots to do there. but i think melbourne would be my suggestion :) see you in australia!
how old are you? and whats been your most memorable bday party! x :)
i am 31 years old. my most memorable birthday party was when i turned 30.. i didn’t want a fuss so i left australia for 3 months a few days before my birthday and spent my 30th birthday with a friend in japan who didn’t know it was my birthday. i liked it most.
Can I ask how old you are? and when did you leave school? would you ever go back to study? most muscians start really young 14/16 and leave school..but what happens when you get married and you can't help your kids with their homework? very random question (but I'm asking because i am so close to dropping out of uni, so bored of it) , thank u
i am 31 years old. i finished school in australia. i can’t see myself studying again, but you never know. i have friends who balance music and family quite well, i’m hoping i can follow in their footsteps someday. i hope you work out what you want to do :)
If you start off wanting the end result of something, you loose sight of the journey, which is really the whole point of life and living. Enjoy the journey and if something comes of it then all the better, but if it doesn't, the journeys the most important thing. Come to brissy and bring passenger and Katie noonan xx
i agree. life is about the journey, for me. and i really feel like i am the luckiest guy to be able to do what i do. see you in brisbane soon!
hi Stu, just gunna say... me and my friend saw you at the Passenger gig the other week in Southampton and it was AMAZING :) i was naggin my friend for so many weeks for us to go and it was definitely worth while cause we were stood right at the front, we hadn't listened to you much before but you still managed to make use cry more that a couple of times when you were playing. Thankyou so much :) follow me on twitter? @maisiethemoose X
sorry for making you cry! but thank you so much for coming and hanging out down the front! see you next time i’m in southamptonn :)
Yes indeed, that is quite a while away. Was actually wanting to ask you, I'm half Sri Lankan half Danish, and your surname, Larsen, makes me think you are originally from scandinavia? correct me if i am wrong. thank you for replying. i may have got a 'fan fever'!
yes yes :) larsen is danish. i am going to denmark for the first time in a few days :) loving sweden at the moment thoughhhhhhh!
I live in the UK and I attend college full time and I'm 2 weeks away from finishing the first of a 2 year course. I don't want to do it any more, I have zero motivation and I've gone from being top of my class, to bottom. I want to travel but I have no idea how/where to start. Any advice? (you don't have to answer this!)
i don’t have an answer for this.. other than make the wisest choices you possibly can.. and when you make those choices, follow them through.. in regards to travelling, pick a destination and go there - it’s that simple.
you should defo replace David attenborough (if u know who he is?) on all the wildlife shows! you could be the best commentator ever! just sayin love your voice x p.s. do you ever have time to watch TV/movies when you're travelling? have you heard of twilight? x coool
haha. no one will ever replace david attenborough. ever. ps i have been watching a lot of ‘planet earth’ lately.
if there was one thing you could teach 'famous musicians' what would it be? you live a completely different lifestyle and yet you're probably just as or even more talented and aware as the likes of John Mayer etc x :)
maybe to act less ‘famous’? but they can do what they like.
One massive question...what is your musical goal? where do you want to end up?if given the opportunity would you stop busking/travelling and become signed i.e. living...hotels/planes/stylists/publicists etc?
i just like following the road in front of me. i have no massive goal. i’m just enjoying this journey. any offer of signing would surely be considered, but if it changed the way i do things, then i’m not sure i would go down that path..
hello! I wanted to ask 3 qs if you don't mind : is being on tour glamorous, would you ever date a fan? and also does Mike Rosenberg have a gf>? x TY
1 - touring has a lot of great things and a few bad things that go along with it. just like anything in life. it’s certainly not glamorous, nor would i enjoy it if it were. 2 - yes/no/maybe? 3 - not that i am aware of..
hahaha 'who are one direction'' ahsgsjafshavsjats omg you're basically a gorgeous busking hipping! your interviews on youtube are so funny! you basically have your own world, I wish I could switch off from everything around me! how do you do it? I read online gossip magazines everyday, such a waste of time but somehow feel obliged...how do I zone out?
aww god! didn't realise your music/videos is all over the internet! and I just watched an interview where you said you were the shy'est boy ever untill your mum persuaded you to learn guitar, damn you're so cute x Also I don't know how you live so freely and giving all your stuff away in Queensland? Do you ever wanna settle down? xx thanks for answering
i actually was the shyest boy. ever. and it’s quite surprising how free you become once you give away most of your possessions.
i presume i will settle down one day. but this lifestyle is too addictive at the moment..
Seeing as it appears you're answering messages I thought I'd drop a quick one in to tell you how amazing you are! I'd listened to you before but I bought your EP last week (thank you for signing it!) and I've fallen in love with your music. :-) Hope to see you back in the UK very soon.
sorry it took me a bit to get back to this! thanks a million. hopefully playing a few more shows in the UK at some stage this year.. :)
